This contest could be classified as an historical part of practical ranch work.

Most of the cowboys on the open range probably drank their coffee black because adding cream could get you killed.

More than one ranch cook has said,
"The coffee is in the pot, I've got the cream caught and tied to a tree, but you gotta go get it."

The object of this contest is for a team of ranch hands to get enough milk out of a beef cow into a paper cup to pour out in front of the judge.

The cows are loaded into the rodeo chutes and each one has a rope on it. The end of the rope is handed out over the chute gate to a team of four contestants. When the whistle blows, all the cows are released simultaneously. The team must stop their cow and three of them hold her while the fourth extracts the diary product from the mammaries.

The first team to run ther precious commodity to the judge without spilling all of it wll be the winner.

All contestants must show proof of hospitalization insurance when entering this event. Entries are limited, so be sure to sign up now for the Wild Cow Milking.
